Internet jobs have been attracting entrepreneurs who want to earn money for many years. There are many different ways to earn money with internet jobs, including ad revenues, sales, and work that can be done at home such as data entry.
You can earn money without actively doing work by collecting revenue from online advertising. Website owners can drive traffic to sites where visitors click on ads, and a portion of those ad revenues is paid back to the site owner. All the site owner has to do is keep his site up, attract traffic, and watch the money roll in.
Active income streams include popular Internet business models like the online store. This method was made popular through online auction sites, and can be quite effort-intensive. Since it involves constant listing, invoicing and shipping of physical goods, the cost of doing business is higher than the purely passive strategy. And if the goods are fragile or bulky, or if there is a high rate of returns or exchanges, the costs can climb and impact the bottom line.
Job sites on the internet are now offering an increasing number of telecommuting jobs of various kinds, most of them entry level jobs for low salaries. Most of these jobs are not full time. They include data entry positions (for below market rate) and contractor work, which may pay below minimum wage under Internal Revenue Code Section 1099.
Since the Internet is barely a decade old, many countries’ labor laws have yet to address such workers, which can be found across the globe along with the Internet’s rapid spread. For example, there are “gold farmers” in China, many of them teenagers, harvesting virtual resources in massive multiplayer online role-playing games, working 12 hour shifts for a few cents an hour.
Many Internet jobs are available to pick from and increasing yearly as the workforce and employer becomes more adept at including access. To become a part of the growing Internet working community access is all that is needed. With Internet experience and a willingness to work diligently, a job online is possible. Earning a regular living without going to the office or the cost of gas to travel is a great advantage of Internet jobs.
